Marathon Industries Inc. is recalling certain 2025 FORD F-650 SD. Marathon Industries Inc. (Marathon Industries) is recalling one 2025 Ford F-650 SD vehicle. The deck pins may break, resulting in the liftgate platform falling. A liftgate that falls unexpectedly increases the risk of injury.

Descriptive Information:
Marathon Industries, Inc was notified that Hiab has an open Part 573 Safety Recall, 26E029 effecting
MDV liftgates. Marathon Industries, Inc. searched its records and found that it installed one of the
potentially effected liftgates during the campaign period (4/1/24-3/16/24) Serial #873314.
The subject liftgate is a heavy-duty folded platform, designed as original equipment for box trucks. This
recall includes all MDV Series configurations, Model Nos. MDV-30, MDV-40, and MDVBG-45. The
affected population is approximately 168 units.
Defect / Noncompliance Description
Description of the defect or noncompliance:
The hydraulic cylinders for the subject liftgates could operate asymmetrically and the platform could
move in an uneven fashion. Such uneven movement places excess stress on the platform deck pins,
which may lead to the pins fracturing and, in some cases, the pins breaking.
