PERFORMANCE DEPOT, INC. has issued a recall. CERTAIN AFTERMARKET HID CONVERSION KITS SOLD BY PERFORMANCE DEPOT FOR USE ON PASSENGER VEHICLES. THE HID CONVERSION KITS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT. ONCOMING TRAFFIC MAY EXPERIENCE A HIGHER THAN NORMAL AMOUNT OF GLARE WHICH COULD AFFECT THE DRIVER'S VISION, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.

Dear Performance Depot HID Conversion Kit Customer:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and
Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Performance Depot has decided that HID Conversion Kits which it imported into the
United States fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No.
108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” Oncoming traffic may
experience a higher than normal amount of glare which could affect the driver’s vision,
possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without warning.
This notice pertains only to HID Kits sold for resale or use in the United States. HID
conversion kits sold for export out of the United States are not subject to this recall.
The parts, identified on the enclosed form, are affected. For this reason we ask that you
arrange for our RMA department to resolve this issue without delay.
Performance Depot will honor all returns of the HID Conversion Kits identified on the
enclosed list and will refund the full credit to your account.
If you have any problem returning parts and obtaining the applicable credit, please
contact your Performance Depot Account Executive at 1-954-467-1227. An Account
Executive will arrange for prompt attention to your return authorization.

noncompliance without charge in a reasonable amount of time, you can submit a
