TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675 Recall: Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. - Braking (Jul 2013)
Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. is recalling certain 2012–2013 TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675, 2012–2013 TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE. Triumph Motorcycles is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Street Triple and Street Triple R motorcycles manufactured in July 2012; and model year 2012-2013 Daytona 675 and Daytona 675 R motorcycles manufactured September 2012 through June 2013. Due to a manufacturing error, the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) may malfunction and lose anti-lock functionality. The anti-lock function may not perform properly allowing for wheel lock up and skidding, increasing the risk of a crash.

Replacement of ABS Modulator

Dear Triumph Owner,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle
Safety Act
Triumph has decided that a defect which relates to safety exists in certain 2012-2013 Triumph Daytona 675 ABS,
Daytona 675R ABS, Street Triple ABS and Street Triple R ABS motorcycles. Failure to replace the modulator can
result in the ABS modulator becoming defective which may result in the wheel slippage leading to a loss of control
of the motorcycle resulting in an increased risk of accident, personnel injury and/or property damage.
VIN:
To correct this condition, your dealer will replace the ABS modulator. The service and parts will be provided free of
charge. This work will take about 1 hour to complete however, additional time may be required depending on how
dealer appointments are scheduled and processed. We urge you to contact your local Triumph dealer immediately
to arrange an early appointment with the service department.
Federal regulations require that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of
this notice to the lessee within ten days.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for
the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.
